The Village Hall
The building that is now Myddle Village Hall has a long history serving the community. It was orginally built in 1838 as the village school. The building was designed to accommodate up to 120 pupils in two classes. One for children aged up to 10 years old and one for older children up to thirteen or fourteen years old. It was finally closed as a school in 1970 when the present school was opened. In 1978 the building was purchased for £6,000, which had been raised by voluntary contributions from the community, and opened as the village hall in 1980.

Management of the Hall
The village hall is managed by a management committee that was set up under the terms of a 1978 trust deed. It is a registered charity and you can download the charity's latest annual report and accounts here.
Without a management committee there would be no village hall. There is always a need for new members to bring new ideas and enthusiasm to running the hall and helping it to thrive. If you are interested in volunteering to help the community in this way please contact us.
